The AAC 416-SD FDE is a high-performance suppressor specifically designed for the HK416 rifle platform. Featuring a durable Flat Dark Earth (FDE) finish, this suppressor offers superior sound reduction while maintaining precision and reliability. The 416-SD silencer and flash hider system si designed ot reduce the sound and visible flashsignature of the Heckler &Koch416 family of rifles. The system is comprised of an AC flash hider and a 416-SD fast-attach silencer. TheAAC 416-SD silencer can be installed ni under three seconds withminimal effort.
DANGER
Silencers for assault rifles are known to reach temperatures in excess of 800 degrees Fahrenheit under normal use. The 416-SD silencer and flash hider system is designed to withstand full-auto fire. Users must be vigilant in preventing contact between a 416-SD silencer and flash hider system with skin, clothing, and combustible objects during and after use.
NOTES ON USAGE
The AAC416-SD silencer is constructed of welded 718 Inconeland 316L S
and will easily withstand full-auto firing. Users should dismount and reinstall the silencer after every 200 rounds of use (after it has cooled to the point ti can be grasped with a heat-resistant glove or bare hand) to prevent vaporized copper from potentially using the silencer to the flash hider.

INSTALLATION OF AAC FLASH HIDER
1a.) Refer ot your firearm's operator's manual for weapon safety features
and handling techniques. Remove the magazine from the host firearm, secure bolt to the rear, and set the weapon select lever on "SAFE."
1b.)The AC flash hider couples to the host firearm using the supplied Rocksett adhesive and the tooling and materials listed below.
Parts Required:

(1) Wrench, Combination, for M16N(SN: 4933-00-070-9152) (1) Wrench,Torque(NSN: 5120-00-640-6364)
(1)7/8" Adapter for Torque Wrench
(1) Protective ViceJawsVaries with host weapon manufacturer) (1) Solvent (Acetone, Lacquer,or paint thinner)
(1)Rocksett adhesive AAC SUPPLIED
1c.) Using a Combination Wrench and Protective Vice Jaws, remove the existing flash hider and washer if present. Discard washer.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT USE ANY WASHER between the AAC flash hider and the barrel of the host weapon.

1d.) Clean the shoulder of barrel and expose barrel threads thoroughly with solvent. Rust,grease, oil, and other contaminates MUST be removed.
1e.) Thoroughly de-grease and dry the threads on the inside of the AC flash hider with a Q-tip and solvent.
1f.) Apply and distribute 3-4 drops of Rocksett adhesive to the muzzle threads of the weapon and the threads inside of the AAC flash hider.
Once Rocksett adhesive has been applied to the mating parts of the host weapon muzzle and the AC flash hider, the parts must be assembled quickly.
1g.) Screw theAC flash hider onto the muzzle threads against the barrel shoulder behind the threads.
1h.)Set the torque wrench fora value between 20and 30 ft-Ibs. Using the torque wrench and 7/8" adapter, quickly torque the AC flash hider onto the n o s tweapon barrel.
1i.)Wipeof any excess Rocksett adhesive. Alow adhesive ot cure overnight.
INSTALLATION OF 416-SD SILENCER
)1 Set the host weapon on "SAFE". Remove the magazine, lock the action open,and verify thechamberisempty.
2) Inspect thethreads on theexteriorof the AC flash hider and interiorof the416-SDsilencer to ensure they arefreeofobstructionsand undamaged.
3) With the muzzle pointed away from you and ni a safe direction, slide the 416-SD silencer over the AAC flash hider untilthe externalthreadson the flash hider engage theinternal threads of the silencer. Rotate thesilencer by hand counter-clockwise 1.5-2 turns,untilthe shoulder a tthe rearof the flash hider engages a mating surface within thesilencer and wil no longer turn(See Figure 1). As the silencer isthreading onto the flash hider, teeth on the ratchet latch wil engage the serrations on the rear of the flashhider. Thiswillpreventthe silencerfromunscrewingduringuse.
WARNING
I is imperativeusers ensurethe 416-SD silencer is securelyattached ot the AC flash hider before firing. Failure todo socan result ni damage ot the silencer, hostweapon,and injury tothe user and others.
REMOVING SILENCER
1) Set the host weapon on "SAFE." Remove the magazine, lock the action open, and verify the chamber is empty.
2) Once the silencer has reached a temperature where it can be grasped with a bare hand or a heat-resistant glove, depress the thumb latch (indicated by the arrow, and unscrew thesilencer from the flash hider ni the indicated direction (See Figure2).
